NEVER TRULY BROKEN – MESSAGE FROM ALEX

At times you look at your life and finally you stare hard enough that you see your life is perfect for you and that everything that you want is on course through hard work.  But then life gives you a curve ball it comes in so many ways it could be, in my case, a light post/injury.   But it can’t stop you, if you want something you take it no matter the cost.

I’ve learnt through my physio therapist that if I want to sit up I can’t do it with my abs since I have none.  But I do have the WILL to get up and show the world that I am not done yet. If anything this is going to make me better and stronger.

This won’t stop me. No doctor or therapist can tell me what I can and can’t do with my life.  I will get through this and I hope that all other people that are thrown a curve ball in their life can do the same.

Thank you to everyone that is helping me on my NEW JOURNEY in life.

ALEX 🙂

  2. Dear Alex. I just saw your post and I feel really compelled to reply to you. You don’t know me but I know your mom. Well I’ve greeted her at the community/church many times. And because of that I feel I know you in some small way as well through that connection. Your courage and attitude are so strong you amaze me. YOU are really amazing and you are a fighter! I feel so motivated and encouraged by reading your journey. Everybody wants to have an impact and well you certainly have had a big impact for me. I wanted you to know this. I know you will achieve everything you set out to because that is clearly the person you are and it is shining through clear as the sun on a sunny day. Wishing nothing but the best for you going forward. Continue to follow your dreams curveballs and all! Thank you for your message! By the way you should think about writing more often when you get the chance.

I have known your mom my whole life, and if there is one thing I can tell you, true friends shine in our darkest moments. I will always be there for your family- through the good times and the bad, life long friendships and bonds do not break. Know that there are people who will always stand by you!!! I am looking forward to Sunday’s event at the community hall, and promise to be a pillar of love and support for your family for a lifetime! ❤️

  4. Hi Alex,
You don’t know me, I work with your mom from time to time. Anyways I just thought that this blog post is very inspiring for all of us. We all get thrown curve balls throughout our lives. Some are doozies, others not quite as severe. It is how we choose to face those challenges that make us who we are. When I served in the military, my drill sergeant used to say to us when we faced difficulty that it builds tolerance and character. From what I see, you have an abundance of both already in your short life and your growth on this journey will be a continued inspiration for us all.

All the best to you and your family.
